For sometime now America has been well known for its dislike of smoking and smokers.

Today there has been an announcement that a second Vegas strip casino is being sued for second hand smoke. As a result from the 1st October all casinos have to now conform to US law and smoking is not allowed.

Many gamblers find the whole idea of placing their bets and not being able to have a smoke at the same time absolutely horrific! It’s not really that surprising when considering how much money people spend and how far they push their nerves.

Smokers will naturally want to fall back on their nicotine fix while the wheels are spinning or the cards are being dealt! This recent ban has stopped all this, but it would seem that smokers are fighting back and with the added bonus of support from certain casinos.

The Crow Indian Reservation has found a unique way around this problem. As Indian reservations are considered sovereign governments and separate from US state laws, they do not need to comply with this new smoking ban.

This could be a huge bonus to reservation casinos all over the USA. The casinos on the main strips certainly appear to be struggling with the economy as it is, and it seems that they may well start to suffer as the habitual smoker and gambler decides that he cannot do one without the other.

One casino visitor says “You’d go crazy playing these machines if you couldn’t smoke, if I’m gambling, I’m smoking. It’s easier on the nerves.”
It is highly unlikely that the tribal governments on these reservations will opt to follow the US legislation on this one; there is just too much opportunity to increase their casino popularity by allowing smoking!

Of course, there is always a way around a ban. You can enjoy a game in comfort from your own home. There isn’t a chance that any rules and regulations will interfere with your game.
